11+ Students Enrolled
Currently, we have enrolled 10 girls and 1 boy in the Kasiisi School. The platform is constructed on a gradual expansion process by adding 3 to 4 students each term. This approach enables personalized attention and seamless integration for students and the school. We began with a single student, Dauphine, and continue to include more students, each assured a full scholarship covering their entire educational journey, regardless of where it concludes.

Our Model: Education Empowerment
CURRATED EDUCATION
Most children who have dropped out or have never been afforded an education are excluded from this opportunity due to the inability of the system to handle their specialized needs. These children require tailored education to integrate successfully without feeling overwhelmed by their peers' social and academic abilities. Unlike other schools that do not admit children aged 10 or up, our partnership with Kasissi Primary School allows Dauphine’s Promise participants to be placed below the “standard grade level”. This approach starts them at a level that will allow them to grow gradually and achieve scholastic milestones sustainably. With this and additional support, they can thrive.
1
PERSONALIZED SUPPORT
Dauphine’s Promise Students are given personalized sessions with teachers for tutoring and assistance in reaching grade-level proficiency. In addition, they also attend group meetings with the Dauphine’s Promise team, providing them a safe space to openly discuss their challenges and accomplishments.
2
FOOD & HOUSING
Creating an environment conducive to educational success is essential for students. Even if their tuition is covered, obstacles within their home situations can hinder the realization of their full potential. Dauphine’s Promise provides students with access to proper lighting, good clothing, and a healthy nutritional diet.

LETTING KIDS BE KIDS
The joys of life - attending school with friends and a healthy environment, allows children to return to the fun of being a child. We celebrate life, dance, have festivals, we ensure we have fun together, and we teach the concept of rights and responsibilities.
Residing in a small village in rural Uganda, a typical child not enrolled in school often spends a significant portion of the day alone, with minimal supervision and stimulation. Often, these children have lost their parents due to abandonment or death. The chance to interact with peers, make friends, engage in sports, participate in the arts, and more represents a transformative experience that words cannot fully capture. For many girls, this is their initial opportunity to embrace childhood, relishing the joys of friendships and the freedom of youth.

80% of all children in the Kabarole District start school but drop out along the way, most do not get past primary 6.
40% of students at Kasissi are unpaid students who do not pay fees but are allowed to monitor classes. They do not receive school supplies, can’t take exams, do not get fed, or have a uniform. Due to these obstacles they eventually drop out because they have no hope.
Costs associated with education account for 6 out of 10 people leaving school
15% of children in Rweterra never go to school

WHAT IS LIFE LIKE FOR A YOUNG GIRL GROWING UP IN A VILLAGE IN RURAL UGANDA?
It is a journey often filled with challenges and severe obstacles that can hinder her growth and development. From early childhood, girls are expected to conform to traditional gender roles and societal expectations. Adolescent girls in impoverished rural areas are subjected to various risks, such as substance abuse, exposure to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), instances of sexual and gender-based violence, discontinuation of education, teenage pregnancy, and child marriage. The norms and traditions of village life dictate a subservient and 'second-class citizen' role that disadvantages them socially, financially, and educationally.
Their mental and physical health is adversely impacted, and society is deprived of the valuable resources of female intelligence and leadership. Dauphine’s Promise’s mission is to provide opportunities and open doors for young girls in rural Uganda. Supporting girl’s education lifts the entire community up. Women who work invest 90 percent of their income back into their families, compared with 35 percent for men.
53% of girls aged 6-12 are reported to complete the required seven years of primary education, and merely 22.5% of the female Ugandan population enroll in secondary education.
Despite significant progress in reducing countrywide poverty, Uganda remains one of the poorest nations in the world. Uganda is a place that can benefit from additional resources for education, which we make available through supplementing costs that would otherwise result in children dropping out or never being enrolled.
